So after the "success" of my earlier hair styling attempts, I thought I would do something fun with Lily's hair. I got started, and she kept staying with me, so I kept going. I took sections of her hair, twisted it, and then put a rubber band around it.

That night, she actually slept with most of them in. I just had to take out one on each side, so she could curl her hair around her fingers, which she does when she is tired.
The next morning, I took out the twists, and this is the result:

We went to the in-laws for the 24th later, and her hair had calmed considerably. She then went swimming and it came all out, but it was fun while it lasted. I will have to find some of those pink sponge curlers for next time. Does anyone know where to find them?

So cute Ally! See, this is why I have boys. My poor girl would have to wear a ponytail every day. I don't even know how to do my own hair.
I really like those twists. Amazing that Lily cooperated. Aspen cries simply when I try to part her hair with a comb.
I saw sponge curlers at Walmart just this week. They were on the same aisle as the brushes and hair elastics.
